What Were Broomhill and Lanfine Homes?

Broomhill and Lanfine Homes were voluntary institutions, situated in Kirkintilloch, Glasgow, that satisfied once unmet demands in Scottish medical care. Broomhill Home was the largest home for incurable patients in Scotland and one of the first institutions of its kind.

Lanfine Home was the first institution to care for incurable cases of tuberculosis when the sanatoria would admit only those with a hope of recovery.
